There are places that hold silence within them

Why this letter?

There is so much noise out there.
So much content, so many images, so many words piling up without ever truly speaking to us.

So I wanted to write.
To come back to what matters.
To speak to you as one speaks to a friend —
with softness, slowness, and honesty.

This newsletter will never be just a marketing tool.
It’s a window I open from my studio.
A quiet moment I offer you, to share what I’m creating, what I’m feeling, and sometimes, the things that move me without reason.

There are places that hold silence within them

There are places that welcome you without asking questions.
That gather the scattered pieces of your soul.
Places where you can finally lay down your luggage — not the ones you carry in your hands, but the ones you carry deep inside.

My name is Lydia.
And for the past few years, I’ve been shaping spaces — sometimes with walls, always with intention.

Studio Lydia S was born in an in-between:
between two cultures,
between two languages,
between shadow and light.

I create interiors that don’t shout their beauty, but whisper their truth.
Interiors that leave room for imperfection, for breath, for heritage.
I believe in wood that ages, in objects we keep, in rooms that don’t try to impress but to soothe.
I believe in design that heals.

🤍 A gentle word – What if elegance meant staying?

We often talk about leaving.
Changing. Redoing. Traveling. Starting over.

But what if, sometimes, beauty lived in what doesn’t move?
In the piece of furniture you thought you’d replace.
In the tiles you once hated.
In the room you’d fallen out of love with, waiting only to be seen differently.

I believe in the courage to stay.
To choose here.
To choose soul over trend.

What if your home was simply asking to be seen?
Not changed.
Just seen.
And loved, as it is.

What I’m quietly working on…
